Family run · Eaglesfield, Scotland

Two cabins in a quiet corner of our family estate.

A small, family run and deliberately unhurried place: two cabins, woodland, and not much else to interrupt the day.

Springkell sits among the trees on our family estate at Eaglesfield, between Annan and Lockerbie in Dumfries and Galloway. We built and finished both cabins ourselves, and we look after them still, so the person who answers your message is the person who hands you the key.

Each cabin is finished in the same calm palette of pale timber, soft linen and warm light, and each has its own hot tub on the deck. Beyond them, the family's sauna and indoor padel court are shared with guests, and the woodland belongs to us all.

Wellness

Warm water, warm timber, and time to use them.

Nothing here is a spa programme. It is a hot tub, a sauna and a court, kept in good order, for however you like to spend a slow afternoon.

01

Private hot tubs

Every cabin has its own hot tub on the deck, looking into the trees. No sharing, no booking a slot, no one else's conversation.

Hot tubs and sauna
The interior of the barrel sauna, with pale timber benches and a stone-filled heater

02

On-site sauna

A barrel sauna in pale timber, shared by guests. Sessions run on their own little diary rather than being unlimited with a cabin booking.

How sauna sessions work
An indoor padel court under a barn roof, with white court lines and a racket resting on the floor

03

Indoor padel

An indoor padel court, under cover, so a game is never rained off. Court time is arranged on its own diary rather than being unlimited with a stay.

Dog-friendly stays

Bring the dog. There is room to wander.

Both cabins are pet-friendly, and the woodland around them is made for slow morning walks. We are still confirming our dog limit and whether a pet charge will apply, so tell us about your dog when you enquire and we will be straight with you.
