Who we are
Springkell Wellness Retreat is based at Eaglesfield, near Annan and Lockerbie, Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland. We are the controller of the personal information described here.
You can write to us at hello@springkellwellnessretreat.co.uk. That address reaches the family directly, and the enquiry form on this website reaches the same inbox.
What we collect
- Enquiry details: your name, email address, optional telephone number, the cabin you are interested in, preferred dates, number of guests and dogs, and your message.
- Booking request details: the same contact details, the dates and cabin requested, the number of guests and dogs, and any message you add.
- Dietary information, but only when you have selected a food extra that requires it.
- Technical information needed to serve the website securely, such as the request data processed by our hosting provider.
What we do not collect
We do not run advertising or analytics tracking on this website, and we do not set marketing cookies. We do not take card details on this website at all: no payment is processed here.
Why we use it
- To answer your enquiry and correspond with you about a possible stay.
- To prepare and, where agreed, hold a booking request.
- To meet our legal and accounting obligations once a stay is agreed.
- To keep the website secure and working.
Our lawful basis
We rely on legitimate interests to respond to enquiries made to us, on taking steps towards a contract when you ask us to hold dates or book a stay, and on legal obligation for records we are required to keep.
Who we share it with
Only with the service providers needed to run this website and our email correspondence, and with professional advisers where necessary. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry records only for as long as we need them to answer you and to keep an accurate record of what was discussed, then delete them. A specific retention period is still being confirmed and will be published here once agreed.
Your rights
- Ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct anything that is wrong.
- Ask us to delete information we no longer need.
- Object to, or ask us to restrict, how we use your information.
How to complain
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
