Dog-friendly stays

Bring the dog. It is better with the dog.

Both of our cabins welcome well-behaved dogs, and the woodland around them is made for slow, sniffing walks. A few things are still being settled, and we would rather say so than assume.

Both cabins welcome dogs

The Peacock and The Black Swan are both pet-friendly. There is no dog-friendly cabin and no pet-free alternative: both are open to well-behaved dogs.

Limits and charges are being confirmed

We have not yet set a dog limit or a pet charge. We will publish both before any booking is accepted, and we will never surprise you with a fee afterwards.

No promise of an enclosed garden

The cabins sit in woodland rather than inside fenced private gardens. If your dog needs secure off-lead space, tell us what you need and we will be straight about whether we can offer it.

House rules come with your arrival details

Things like where dogs may sleep and how they should be left in the cabin will be set out clearly in your arrival information, rather than left to guesswork.

Walking from the cabins

Woodland, shore and hills.

The trees start at the door, and there are short reserve walks, riverside paths and longer hill days within reach. Our walks guide sets out what each one involves, including what we could verify about dog access and livestock.

Walks and nature
Where we are cautious

We do not claim enclosed gardens, dog equipment, unrestricted access to surrounding land or free pet stays. If a venue or route policy matters to you, check with them directly before you travel: pubs, cafés and reserves all set their own rules.

Enquiries are open

Tell us about your dog.

Breed, size and how they are with other dogs and livestock are all useful to know. We will tell you honestly whether the cabin and the woodland suit them.
